Bell 505 Completes Successful Demo Tour in Mexico
The Bell 505 parapublic-configured aircraft recently completed a successful demonstration tour across Mexico, visiting various parapublic customers. The tour was led by Bell pilot Scott Mahon, with the support of Jose Manuel Prats, the regional sales manager. The aircraft made stops in 11 states and was showcased to over 20 customers.
The tour included visits to the following states: Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Jalisco, Michoacán, Mexico, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Coahuila, and Nuevo León.
The Bell 505 is renowned for its reliability and elevated performance, serving as a critical public safety asset in protecting municipalities. The aircraft features the Garmin G1000H NXi integrated avionics system, which allows pilots to quickly monitor critical flight data while maintaining situational awareness. The aircraft also offers the flexibility to be custom equipped with the latest technological advancements to meet the customer’s mission requirements. Designed with a spacious cabin, integrated tie-downs, easily removable seats, and 55-inch clamshell doors, the Bell 505 is optimized for quick and efficient preparation for the next flight.
The aircraft is utilized by various law enforcement agencies across the U.S. including the Stockton Police Department and Sacramento Police Department. The Bell 505’s law enforcement configuration is outfitted with skid gear, forward/aft hard points for mounting equipment, and Trakka Beam Searchlight. Strategically made with large windows for greater visibility, the aircraft helps pilots and tactical flight officers search for suspects and missing persons.
The Bell 505 is garnering significant interest from state and municipal police forces, particularly for the potential of fully equipped units. Bell is proud to facilitate the expansion of the Bell 505 parapublic use throughout Mexico. "We are thrilled with the success of the Bell 505 demo tour and are eager to see the growth of the 505's use in Latin America," said John Ramos, Bell’s managing director, Latin America.
