Bell and Air Methods Team Up to Display UnityPoint LifeFlight Bell 429 HEMS Solution during AMTC 2026

Bell is honored to participate in the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC) 2026 in Fort Worth, Texas – Bell’s home city. AMTC is an important annual gathering for the air medical and helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) community. This year, Bell will highlight its support for HEMS operators and the critical missions they perform every day, including the display of UnityPoint LifeFlight's Bell 429 in an air medical configuration.

Bell is also sponsoring the Marriott-Carlson Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors an individual who has made significant, lifelong contributions to the emergency medical transport community. “Bell is thrilled to be participating in another AMTC, this year in our home city,” said Lane Evans, managing director, North America. “This conference is a key touchpoint each year that allows us to connect with the HEMS community and discuss how we can continue strengthening their programs for the long-term.”

Aircraft on Display

On display in the Bell booth during this year’s show will include a HEMS configured Air Methods Bell 429 in operation by UnityPoint LifeFlight, which flies three Bell 429s to support air medical transport across its network. The Bell 429 offers a spacious, flexible cabin that can accommodate advanced medical equipment and multiple caregivers, giving crews room to work and care for patients in flight. With twin-engine performance, modern avionics and smooth handling, the Bell 429 is designed to help teams operate confidently in demanding environments and a range of weather conditions, day or night.

Aftermarket and Training

Bell’s support for the HEMS market extends beyond the aircraft itself. The Bell Global Customer Solutions (GCS) team provides parts, maintenance programs and technical expertise to help keep fleets mission ready.

The Bell Training Academy (BTA) further supports customers with pilot and maintenance training, using advanced full flight simulators, interactive academics and hands-on instruction from experienced Bell instructors. Together, these services help HEMS operators improve readiness, enhance safety and get the most out of their aircraft over the long term.

Aeronautical Accessories continues to increase the number and types of parts and accessories available for HEMS helicopters. From hoists to Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS), to new glass cockpit upgrades, Aeronautical Accessories has innovative products that improve the capabilities of your aircraft for public safety missions.
