From Intern to Engineer: Brianna Navarro's Journey at Bell

Bell is prepared for summer interns, but first meet a previous intern who officially joined the Flight Club

Bell is prepared for summer interns across the business. Today, Brianna Navarro, a design engineer, has the spotlight, but her journey with Bell began long before she officially joined the team.

Navarro’s passion for engineering was sparked in sixth grade during an engineering class at an all-girls academy focused on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). As a high school freshman, she entered her first robotics competition, which further fueled her interest in the field.

She participated in Bell’s drone competition twice, in 2018 and 2019, where she gained valuable insights from her mentors. These experiences solidified her passion for engineering and began to shape her career path.

Navarro joined Bell as a student training employment program high school intern (STEP), an opportunity she credits with strengthening her hands-on skills and deepening her appreciation for Bell’s collaborative environment.

“The most rewarding part of my journey from intern to full-time employee at Bell has been gaining an interdisciplinary perspective,” said Navarro. “During my internships, I had the opportunity to work in manufacturing, non-metallic materials and process engineering, and design engineering.”

Today, Navarro is passionate about mentoring the next generation of engineers who may one day find their flight path to Bell. Her interdisciplinary experiences continue to guide her work as she contributes to Bell’s mission of delivering innovative aircraft solutions.
