On March 1, 2018, the Bell V-280 Valor team attended a gala in Washington, D.C. to accept the 2018 Technology Laureate Award from Aviation Week. Every year since 1957 Aviation Week “bestows its Laureate Awards upon people, programs and products that have had an outsized impact on the aviation, aerospace and defense industries.”
This is an outstanding honor for our Bell V-280 team to be recognized among the top companies in aerospace technology. Additionally, Bell CEO, Mitch Snyder, and Textron CEO, Scott Donnelly, were in attendance to watch Ryan Ehinger, Bell’s V-280 Program Manager, accept the award on the team’s behalf.
The team can be proud of its recent achievements to help redefine flight. This award is indicative of a great team of hard working and dedicated professionals, lifting each other up, to respond rapidly and decisively to meet our nation’s national security priorities.
Attendees from the award-winning Bell team included: Scott Donnelly, Mitch Snyder, Vince Tobin, Chris Gehler, Ryan Ehinger, Kraig Siracuse, Jeff Schloesser, Stewart Holmes, Russ Bartlett, Jeff Josselyn, Don Grove, Derek Eddins, Hunter Nelson, Brad Ekstrom, Kevin Christensen, Eric Wells, Donald White, Gary Strother, Jeremy Martin, Russ DeWitt, Joel McIntyre, Mercedes Johnson, Paul Wilson, Pete Shultz, Jeff Bosworth, and Mike Hull.

Thinking above and beyond is what we do. For more than 85 years, we’ve been reimagining the experience of flight – and where it can take us.
We are pioneers. We were the first to break the sound barrier and to certify a commercial helicopter. We were a part of NASA’s first lunar mission and brought advanced tiltrotor systems to market. Today, we’re defining the future of advanced air mobility.
Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas – as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Textron Inc., – we have strategic locations around the globe. And with nearly one quarter of our workforce having served, helping our military achieve their missions is a passion of ours.
Above all, our breakthrough innovations deliver exceptional experiences to our customers. Efficiently. Reliably. And always, with safety at the forefront.
