Bell Textron builds some of the best commercial helicopters in the business right here in Canada. At the Paris Air Show, we discussed ways they can do even more here, as they continue to invest in our workers and businesses at home.Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry of Canada
The recent completion of the 6000th aircraft built at the Mirabel plant, which bears the colours of the Sûreté du Québec, marked a significant achievement that was praised by Premier Legault. This milestone aircraft, a SUBARU Bell 412EPX, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and features that will enhance performance and operational capabilities in the Sûreté du Québec's operations, including search and rescue missions, crew and equipment transport, flood evacuation, aerial surveillance, and tactical operations.
“It’s a great honor to host such distinguished guests and industry advocates during the Paris Airshow”, stated Michael Nault, General manager at Bell Textron Canada. “It allows us to showcase more than 55 years of contributions to the aerospace industry in Canada, our dedication to building domestic commercial helicopter capacities for nearly 40 years, and its positive impact on the national economy.”
Bell Textron Canada supports the largest fleet of helicopters of the Royal Canadian Air Force and is modernizing the Griffon fleet under the "Griffon Limited Life Extension" (GLLE) project. Additionally, Bell has secured an In-Service Support (ISS) contract to maintain the fleet until 2039.
At the show, Bell is also highlighting the MV-75, a tiltrotor aircraft that can provide the speed and airlift capability necessary to respond to natural disasters and emergencies across the country, and contribute to international operations with allies.
With a supply chain that integrates national partners, Bell showed that it stands ready to leverage its extensive network and expertise to meet the evolving needs of the aerospace sector.
