Bell Partners with Government of Quebec to Develop Green Technology
On April 19, the government of Quebec announced an investment to support the Coalition for Greener Aircraft. This enables funding of the Aircraft of Tomorrow program and the development and demonstration of new green technology in the province.
Within that program, Bell is part of a consortium leading the project “Aircraft for the digital and green mobility of tomorrow” where we will develop advanced propulsion systems to support future technology. A collaboration with CAE, Pratt and Whitney Canada, small and medium enterprises, and academic institutions, this project will consist of exchanging, sharing and leveraging information related to the technologies developed by each company to ensure program success.
Investing in innovation is crucial to sustain Québec’s competitive position in the market, even more so now, since the green shift is underway in the aerospace and technology industry. To mobilize the future of Québec, Bell and other industrial partners have committed to deploy reasonable efforts to generate the maximum economical, scientific and technological benefits for the province.
Bell’s Commercial Assembly and Delivery Centre in Mirabel, Quebec, is home to many ground-breaking vertical lift innovations, including where Bell’s Autonomous Pod Transport and Electrically Distributed Anti-Torque first took flight. With this next step, our teams continue their commitment to exploring and developing green technologies for future platforms and seeking new solutions to create a cleaner, more sustainable future.
