Laos to Mirabel: A Visit of Firsts

Our Bell Helicopter Textron Canada facility in Mirabel is familiar with hosting regular visitors from around the world, but marked a first visit of its kind this September. Along with several other companies, two individuals from the Laos Ministry of Public Works and Transport arrived marking the first Southeast Asia ministerial visit to the Mirabel facility.

To start the day, the President of Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Cynthia Garneau gave an introduction and overview of Bell Helicopter’s commercial product line. Our Mirabel facility is the final assembly and delivery site of the majority of our commercial product lines including the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X, 429, 412EPI and 407GXP. The Bell Helicopter team then discussed details about our company’s award-winning customer support and services capabilities around the world. Bell Helicopter is known for having the largest support network allowing customers easy access to service professionals that know their operating environment and understand their needs.

Following the briefing, the delegation was ready to see Bell Helicopter Canada in action. The delegation toured the facility and delivery center – seeing truly the lifecycle of Bell Helicopter’s state-of-the-art commercial product line. They also made a visit to the Airworthiness and Product Support Engineering departments.

The visit continued from another vantage point – it was now time to experience Bell Helicopter from the skies. The delegation experienced the sights from a new point of view during their Bell 407GX demo flight.

It was our honor to welcome our new friends from Laos!
