Bell's COVID-19 Statement

As the COVID-19 situation rapidly evolves, Bell is taking significant steps to ensure the health and safety of our workforce and customers. Bell has offered flexible working arrangements including working remote and staggered work schedules to employees who are able to do so. These measures limit exposure to those performing essential manufacturing, design, and support work onsite. Currently, all Bell manufacturing and production, service facilities and delivery centers are operating on their regular schedules.

For employees continuing to work in our plants, we ask they continue to practice social distancing with teams and limit group interaction, especially groups exceeding 10 people. Further information regarding the precautionary and preventative cleaning measures Bell is taking is listed below. We’re enhancing our environmental cleaning efforts by expanding our contract with the current cleaning vendor and supplementing with increased hazmat decontamination and disposal services.

Our experienced vendors use industrial-grade cleaners and disinfecting agents. Here are the actions we’ve taken at a minimum at all plants:

  • Daily disinfecting of all handrails, water stations, doorknobs and restrooms, floors and windows.
  • Twice daily cleaning of all turnstiles, outside doors, conference rooms, breakrooms, cafeterias, lobbies, elevators and guard shacks in the early morning and afternoon.
  • Increased stand-alone units of alcohol-based hand sanitizer around conference rooms, break areas and common areas.
  • Increased Environmental Health & Safety presence on the shop floor and partnering with front line leaders, value stream managers and safety advocates to help identify high-use areas for targeted deep cleaning.
  • Additional supplies including no-touch trash cans, hand soap, disinfectants and disposable towels. Hand soap dispenses are being refilled twice per shift for all shifts.

Bell also has an onsite medical facility and pharmacy that provides high quality primary care, occupational health and pharmacy services, so if employees are feeling ill, they are able to make an appointment at the facility.

Our top priority remains the safety of all Bell employees. We will continue to adhere to the guidance of the CDC, WHO and local governing health authorities to implement any required changes to our business.

About Bell

Thinking above and beyond is what we do. For more than 85 years, we’ve been reimagining the experience of flight – and where it can take us.

We are pioneers. We were the first to break the sound barrier and to certify a commercial helicopter. We were a part of NASA’s first lunar mission and brought advanced tiltrotor systems to market. Today, we’re defining the future of advanced air mobility.

Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas – as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Textron Inc., – we have strategic locations around the globe. And with nearly one quarter of our workforce having served, helping our military achieve their missions is a passion of ours.

Above all, our breakthrough innovations deliver exceptional experiences to our customers. Efficiently. Reliably. And always, with safety at the forefront.
